What will you do?

The Mass Poor People’s Assembly and Moral March on Washington Digital Gathering is just 3 days away and momentum is growing! We are working with more than 200 partner organizations across the country, including unions, religious denominations, and social and environmental justice organizations to ensure that our message is heard far and wide:Somebody’s been hurting our people, and it’s gone on for far too long. And WE WON’T BE SILENT ANYMORE.

Check out our new June 20 video here, and spread the word far and wide.

We will hear from service workers from the Midwest forced to work through the pandemic, a coal miner from Appalachia, mothers who have lost children due to lack of health care, residents of Cancer Alley in Louisiana, and an Apache elder who is petitioning the federal government to stop a mining company from destroying their sacred site in Arizona.

And they’ll be introduced by actors and activists including Erika Alexander, Danny Glover, Wanda Sykes, Jane Fonda, former Vice President Al Gore, David Oyelowo and Debra Messing .

The event will be broadcast at 10am and 6pm ET at june2020.org. It will be open captioned and interpreted in Spanish and ASL. There will also be a dial-in option for those without internet access.

From across this nation people are rising up and joining together to call for transformative change. Join us and ask your elected officials to do the same.
