As you may know, we’ve been pushing for a Community Solar authorization bill (HB 531) for quite a while. Despite getting a huge number of cosponsors from both parties, the bill has been stuck in the House Consumer Affairs Committee because Chair Brad Roae is anti-solar and refuses to hold a vote or a hearing.
Now, we have an opportunity to bypass Rep Roae by amending another bill (related to water metering, but still pertaining to the Public Utility section of the law) that has already passed out of Consumer Affairs. Details are below.
We need your help! Please call your State Representative before 1pm Monday, and tell them to vote YES on amendment A05947 to HB 1718! Please also forward this message to your networks. We are setting up an action alert to go out early Monday morning, but it would be helpful to start getting constituent messages in ASAP.
